Wonderfully Rainy Day Wedding : It was an outside wedding with a big tent anxiously waiting in the backyard. The wedding was taking place in a wonderful country setting, complete with sheep, country flower beds, ponds and an old, but warm and cozy 19th century farm house. It not only rained for days before the wedding but all through the day. Trenches were dug around the tent and a pump installed to remove the standing water. Everything was soaked. Despite the gloomy weather, all the people were filled with joy and happiness and to their credit, did not let the climate dampen their high spirits. Formal family photographs were scheduled to be made about 6:30PM. I stepped outside the tent at 6:25 and miraculously the rain had all but stopped. The families were gathered outside and the formals began. I kept the subjects on the driveway as the ground was so saturated from the rain water that it would have been impossible to have them pose on the lawn. The formal photographs were completed in 30 minutes and the guests moved back inside the tent. Within minutes the rain started coming down again and it did not stop for the rest of the day. The weather gods had smiled upon us, giving us the opportunity to use the available light and at least a small slice of the beauty of the natural setting, to photograph the formals. I believe these photographs reflect the joy, conviviality and warm personalities of the bride and groom's family and their guests, both from an artistic and journalistic point of view. (Caveat: Please be advised that viewing online is not indicative of the quality of the images due to varying monitor calibrations and photo file compression and resizing.)

December Wedding : The wedding took place in early December. The ceremony took place late in the afternoon. Due to the cold weather and the darkness all the photography was made in interiors.
